VERSATILITY AND CONSISTENCY IN PRODUCTION
In the glass industry, hardware plays an essential role in the functional, mechanical, and aesthetic performance of applications such as doors, partitions, façades, and storage systems.
Xavitec is a manufacturer dedicated to developing solutions for the glass industry and for specific projects across various fields of engineering, interior design, and architecture, including:
⭢ Posts;
⭢ Hinges;
⭢ Handles;
⭢ Balustrades;
⭢ Locks;
⭢ Brackets;
⭢ Miscellaneous Hardware.
In demanding markets such as architecture and interior design, the surface finish of these stainless steel components used in glass integration is becoming increasingly important to differentiate the final product.
To meet this wide range of applications and market demands, Xavitec relies on the NS Máquinas LHV200 and FG170 ZK machines.
LHV200 ⭢ FLEXIBILITY FOR COMPLEX-SHAPED PARTS
The LHV200 is used for finishing components with complex geometries. It ensures angle correction and delivers a uniform surface finish.
Although some parts can be processed on different equipment, the LHV200 stands out for its flexibility when finishing less conventional geometries.
Before the LHV200 was integrated into the production process, these operations relied more heavily on operator skills, resulting in lower consistency in the finished product.
FG170 ⭢ FINISHING PROFILES AND LINEAR COMPONENTS
The FG170 ZK is mainly used for finishing posts, linear profiles, and components for glass systems.
Equipped with one abrasive belt station and one abrasive brush station, the machine achieves the desired finish in most applications with a single pass.
For more demanding finishes, additional passes can be performed, or the operator can quickly change the consumables according to the required surface finish.
Before the FG170 ZK was introduced, these operations were performed manually, requiring the operator to maintain a consistent finish across all parts while keeping a constant working speed.
FLEXIBLE INTEGRATION INTO THE PRODUCTION PROCESS
At Xavitec, the LHV200 and FG170 ZK are not dedicated to a single product or fixed production line. They are used flexibly whenever required, depending on the type of component and the desired finish.
These solutions efficiently handle the wide variety of components used in glass hardware systems without relying on rigid or dedicated production processes.
RESULTS
✔ Consistent finishes across different types of components
✔ Reduced reliance on manual processes
✔ Reduced operator dependency
✔ Flexibility in finishing different geometries
✔ More efficient response to production requirements
✔ Greater control over final surface quality
